The due date is probably in the fall.
Aubrey Plaza is pregnant and expecting her first child. A spokeswoman for the actress confirmed this to the US magazine “People”. The child’s father is her partner, also actor, Christopher Abbott.
According to the report, the birth is expected in the fall. Those close to the US star say that the pregnancy is a “wonderful surprise after an emotional year”. The gender of the child is not yet known.
What the “emotional year” meant for Aubrey Plaza
In January 2025, Plaza’s former husband, director and screenwriter Jeff Baena, died by suicide at the age of 47. In a statement, she called the loss an “unimaginable tragedy” and asked for privacy.
Baena was considered a fixture in independent cinema. He became known, among other things, for his directorial debut “Life After Beth”, where Plaza and Baena met and later worked together several times.
Plaza and Baena largely kept their personal lives out of the public eye. The couple were together for around ten years and married in 2020. They were said to have been separated at the time of Baena’s death.

Plaza and Abbott have worked together before, including on the Off-Broadway production “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” and the film “Black Bear” (2020).
Christopher Abbott is currently starring on Broadway in a new production of Death of a Salesman, alongside Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf.
