Fleeing from Syria and new neighbors who are ready for you: ‘The feeling that we are welcome here’

Their life together in Syria started out as a fairy tale, but when her husband Eiad threatens to join the army, they flee. But it didn’t break Yara Hniedi (36). In fact, she is resilient and does everything she can to make her new life in Bunnik a great success. She is now the face of a poster campaign by the Netherlands Council for Refugees.
