Nabi made a statement to journalists in Antalya, where the Iranian National Team came for a friendly match with Costa Rica.
Thanking the Turkish Football Federation for hosting the friendly matches, Nabi expressed his satisfaction with FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s visit to them in Antalya and his support.
Stating that Infantino wanted to see the Iranian National Team, Nabi said that the FIFA President spoke to the players before the match in Antalya and that this was a morale boost for the team.
Stating that there is no obstacle for the Iranian National Team to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nabi said, “We will play in the World Cup. We comply with FIFA rules. We will play in the World Cup in the USA, Mexico or Canada, whichever country FIFA decides.” he said.
