Interestingly, the album features a track titled “Jessica’s Bra,” which is actually about a bar, not an undergarment. Gillan humorously attributes it to a typographical error on a sign, critiquing societal rules that dictate behavior. The production on “Splat!” is robust and unmistakably Deep Purple. Don Airey’s iconic Hammond organ and the innovative guitar work of Simon McBride, who joined the band in 2022, contribute to a fresh sound.
