Over the next eight weeks, bird lovers and interested parties can follow three families of peregrine falcons that have settled in Brussels via livestream. It is already the eighteenth time that the public can observe falcons in Brussels, the Museum of Natural Sciences reported on Thursday.
Three pairs of falcons have settled in Brussels. It concerns a couple who, since 2019, have settled in the north tower of the Sint-Michiels-en-Sint-Gudule cathedral, one in the tower of the Saint-Job church in Uccle and one in the tower of the town hall of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. .
The couple in St. Michael’s and St. Gudula’s Cathedral incubates two eggs, which should hatch around April 14. That in Uccle, which the museum has known for 6 years and which has already raised 27 falcons, breeds on four eggs that will hatch on 9 April. The last couple incubates four eggs, which are expected to hatch on April 27.

This year, too, there will be observation sessions in addition to the livestream. This year they will take place at the foot of the breeding grounds in Uccle and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. With a telescope, visitors can get a closer look at the falcon families while an ornithologist explains.
