Mélanie Rezé’s chicken recipe is easy and delicious.
Honey chicken can be sprinkled with herbs and chili oil. Mélanie Rezé
Honey curry chicken is one chef and food influencer Mélanie Rezén favorite everyday foods. And he is not the only Finn who loves honey chicken.
The honey chicken, developed more than 30 years ago, is probably the most purchased broiler product in Finland. Different versions of it can be found from several manufacturers.
Honey chicken is Rezé’s favorite childhood hit.
– As an adult, I realized that I can make an even better honey chicken myself, Rezé laughs.
Not everyone wants to buy pre-marinated chicken, so you can easily season it yourself. Rezé sprinkles unseasoned chicken strips with curry, turmeric and, of course, a drizzle of honey.
He advises that you can add small diced paprika and frozen peas to the sauce. They give a little extra flavor and increase the number of vegetables on the plate.
– This is such a perfect everyday dish that is easy to prepare, Rezé enthuses.
Curry is by no means an authentic and original Indian spice, but a mixture developed by British colonial masters in the 19th century.
The purpose of the curry was to facilitate the preparation of Indian-style food, as the flavor was obtained from one jar. The curry contains, among other things, turmeric, coriander seeds, jeera, and nutmeg.
