Samuel Welten is quite embarrassed by the men of RoddelPraat. They show rather explicit images of the Echt Liefde Is Te Koop singer. “What happens here is simply punishable.”

We saw Samuel Welten sitting at the desk of Shownieuws last Thursday evening, apparently feeling completely comfortable in his own skin. There was no indication that he was furious about the episode of RoddelPraat that had appeared online the day before. This shows blurred images of the singer pleasuring himself. All quite explicit.

Explicit images

Gossip Talk face Dennis Schouten states that Samuel sent these images on TikTok to a ‘young girl’. “Now Samuel did not know that he was in contact with a group of friends who pretended to be that young girl. That is painful. They forwarded it to me,” says the presenter in the latest episode.

It started quite innocently, he explains. “Samuel sent a photo of himself and thinks he is asking the girl the question: ‘Are you a sl*tje?’ This is followed by rather precarious images. We can’t show it fully.”

Little boy

Colleague Jan Roos is impressed by what he sees. “Yes, we can say a lot about Samuel, for example that he is a small boy, but he does not have a small boy. He is quite a big boy, or am I crazy? (…) He gives the salami a bite. I did not expect him to have such a belly by the way.”

Dennis thinks it’s Samuel’s own fault. “A camera is never useful.”

Jan: “Certainly not if there is a group of friends on the other side. Then that is inconvenient. It is a bit amateurish, but in any case: Samuel Welten has an excellent microphone.”

Punishable

Some followers of RoddelPraat react critically. “I have absolutely nothing to do with Samuel Welten, but it is quite sad to kick a 19-year-old guy into the ground,” says one M. “You can half-censor the images, but you are still guilty of spreading them. Cheers!”

A certain Stefan then said: “Well, he should have thought better.”

M: “Doxing is completely illegal and whatever the men do here, censoring it doesn’t help.”

Not neat

Oliver thinks that Gossip Talk goes too far. “The piece about Samuel really shouldn’t have been included, which could have quite serious consequences. Even though it may be his own fault, I don’t think sharing it is polite.”

Hans: “It is simply a criminal offense to make private nude images public.”

And Remco: “What you are doing here is punishable. Distributing sexual images without consent falls under Article 139h of the Criminal Code, even if you blurt the images.”

Angry manager

The big question is: will Samuel go to court? His manager is angry, says RoddelPraat X. “Dennis was called by Samuel Welten’s manager. It was first stated that Samuel was not the person in the explicit images that we showed in the broadcast, and that we therefore had to take the broadcast offline. We refused.”

“Shortly afterwards it was admitted that it was Samuel, after which we were offered an ‘agreement’ to take the images offline. We also refused that, and the tone quickly changed. Subsequently, a report and a lawsuit for alleged slander and libel were threatened. We are curious what the next step will be.”
