Bouke was seen on television again last night for the first time since his dramatic Today Inside performance, this time in Shownieuws. “I remain very grateful to Johan Derksen,” he says.
It is the most boring Today Inside guest of the year so far: Elvis Presley impersonator Bouke. The singer was present this month as a bar guest, but was so boring that he is no longer welcome in the program. Presenter Dyantha Brooks confronts him in the Show news yesterday with the massive criticism of his VI performance.

What does Bouke think? “Well, look, the program is of course a completely different program than I normally… This is a completely different program than VI, you know. I have to be honest: Johan Derksen helped me during the time that I participated in The Tribute and I am still grateful to him for that.”
He continues: “But of course it is a program that goes back and forth with opinions. And I am not someone who quickly gives my opinion about things I have no knowledge of.”
Tonight?
Sandra Schuurhof hopes that Bouke will show more of himself at the Shownieuws desk. “Tonight, right?”
Bouke: “I hope so.”
In the end, not much relevant comes out of Shownieuws, but he himself seems satisfied. “I said more than in VI!”, he says at the end of the broadcast.
