Empty storage facilities: BSW criticizes gas deliveries to Ukraine /
Reserves soon below 20 percent? – Wagenknecht: “Minister of Economic Affairs
should resign”
Osnabrück (ots) – Osnabrück. With the trend approaching an all-time low
The Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) holds gas reserves that have just started
Gas deliveries to Ukraine irresponsible. “That Germany gas into the
Ukraine is delivering while our gas storage facilities are emptying is unbelievable.
Federal Economics Minister Reiche is hopelessly overwhelmed and should
resign,” said BSW founder Sahra Wagenknecht of the “Neue Osnabrücker
Zeitung” (noz). The gas storage facilities had never been so empty at this time,
that is extremely worrying.
Most recently, the gas storage facilities were only 20.52 percent full, and that was over
February unprecedentedly low level. The lowest level since the beginning of the
Data collection for 2011 was in 2018, it was 14.1 percent – but only in April.
In recent weeks there has been a debate about steadily declining levels
triggered whether the reserves in the gas storage facilities will be available by the end of winter
sufficient.
For a few days now, Germany has been delivering via the LNG terminal for the first time
Complaints about liquefied gas coming from the USA after regasification via Poland
the Ukraine. This was announced by the state-owned Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz.
Energy infrastructure remains one of the main goals of Russia
Army in the war against Ukraine. According to the federal government, Germany does not deliver any
