Noshe second evening of Sanremo 2026the Ariston stage transforms into the ideal bridge between the events that have just concluded Milan Cortina Olympics and the wait for them Paralympics 2026, starting next March 6th. This evening, four excellences of Italian sportFrancesca Lollobrigida, Lisa Vittozzi, Giacomo Bertagnolli and Giuliana Turra – they will be on stage to tell the story stories of sport and determination that go beyond medals. The right way to honor the Italians who have competed in recent weeks and wish good luck to the Paralympic athletes.

Francesca Lollobrigida, the first Italian medal in Milan Cortina

At Milan-Cortina 2026 it was the first Italian athlete to get on the podiumopening the Italian medal collection. Francesca Lollobrigida has won gold in the 3,000 meters of speed skating and then doubled in the 5,000 metersconfirming itself among the most solid interpreters of the specialty.

The images of the celebrations with the son Tommaso on the track have become one of the symbolic moments of the Games: a spontaneous scene that moved many and also aroused some criticism on social media. An episode that tells how women’s sport today is also a balance between career and motherhood, media exposure and private life.

However, there will not be another highly anticipated athlete, Arianna Fontanafresh holder of the record for the highest number of medals won by an Italian at the Olympics. She was the Italian short track champion stopped by a horse fever.

Lisa Vittozzi, the queen of biathlon in Sanremo 2026

In Milan-Cortina 2026 Lisa Vittozzi won gold in the women’s 10km pursuitone of the most complex events in biathlon because it combines strategy, pace management and four decisive shooting sessions. It’s a race that can’t be won only with speed on skis, but with mental clarity: any mistake on the range entails immediate penalties. Vittozzi has built his own success on shooting precision, an element that has become the turning point in recent years of his competitive maturity.

Born in 1995, from Friuli, she has been consistently among the top athletes in the World Cup for several seasons. After his very young debut and his first world championship medals, he also went through more complex phases from a technical point of view, but managed to rebuild his competitive balance until returning to the highest international levels. Before the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics he had already collected world podiums and important results at the Gamesbut the gold in the pursuit represents the definitive transition to leader of the movement.

Giacomo Bertagnolli: the Paralympic legend at Sanremo 2026

Accompanied by his guide Andrea Ravelli, Giacomo Bertagnolli he is the most decorated Italian Paralympic athlete ever with ben 8 medals (of which 4 gold) between Pyeongchang 2018 and Beijing 2022, won in paralympic alpine skiing. His palmarès also include world titles in slalom and giant slalom. Tonight his presence at the Ariston has a special flavor: it is the official “countdown”. Waiting to take to the track from 6 to 15 March for the Paralympics, Giacomo represents the strength of trust. At Sanremo 2026 we don’t celebrate the result, but the upcoming challenge of a champion who aims to write history once again.

Giuliana Turra, a life between healthcare and ice

Born in 1980, Piedmontese, Giuliana Turra she is not a “full-time” athlete in the traditional sense. She works as a midwife and has built her sporting career alongside her healthcare professionchoosing a sport – the wheelchair curling – which requires concentration, emotional balance and a strong ability to manage pressure.

He will arrive at the Milan-Cortina Paralympics as part of a team that represents a project built over time. His presence at Sanremo 2026, even before being sporting, is symbolic: he tells a generation of athletes who keep work, training and daily responsibilities together without rhetoric and without labels.
