Wolter Kroes was bashed on television for evenings after Sinterklaas because of hypocritical TV interviews about Marco Borsato. What does his daughter Jada Borsato think about that? “Eyebrows furrowed?”
Immediately after his acquittal, celebrities fell over each other to congratulate Marco Borsato. For example, Wendy van Dijk shouted that Marco should always continue to cuddle with people and Wolter Kroes was seen delirious with joy in a video for Shownieuws in the evening. “I hope you come back, once again as the greatest artist in the Netherlands!”
‘Hypocritical!’
It created feelings of hypocrisy among people. Scandalous. Really scandalous. One of those Wolter Kroes who then says: ‘Oh, Marco, welcome back to the family!’ I find that really embarrassing,” said Chris Woerts at the bar Today Inside.
He continued: “You don’t hear them for six years and now every famous Dutch person posts a photo on Instagram or Facebook with Marco together, you know. It’s all so hypocritical.”
Eyebrows
What does Jada think about that? “Don’t you sometimes frown and think: all those celebrities who are now suddenly embracing my father again in the media, where have you been all those years?” asks the Weekend her.
The ‘daughter of’ is not annoyed by that. She says: “No. There are also many people, whom the outside world knows nothing about, who have given us a lot of support in private. And in addition, we hold absolutely no grudges, we are not that kind of person. So no, I don’t look at it that way.”
‘In the future’
Jada is working on a new CD. Will Marco sing on that too? “No, unfortunately I have to disappoint you. Perhaps in the future, if possible. That would of course be really crazy. I will pray about it. But that is also up to him. And I want that choice to remain with him, he must be ready for it. He has not made any statements about that.”
“But if it is the case, we will hear it from him. I really hope so, because I really wish it for him. Because I know how much pleasure he has gotten from his music for years. I think other people would also really appreciate it for him to come back, but he has to want it himself.”
