UA new sentence for Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian women’s rights activist, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2023. The sentence speaks of another seven years, which are added to the 13 (in addition to 154 lashes) to which she had already been sentenced. From December 2024 to 2025 Mohammadi was released from prison for medical reasons, but on December 12 she was arrested during a protest in the city of Mashhad, during a memorial ceremony in honor of the Iranian activist Khosrow Alikordi, found lifeless in his office in circumstances that were never clarified.
