Real Madrid, Man United or even FC Bayern: Rúben Neves (28) has been traded by numerous top clubs in the past few weeks. But the Portuguese international has decided to stay in Saudi Arabia. The midfielder has extended his expiring contract with Al-Hilal until June 30, 2029.
Neves moved from Wolverhampton to Al-Hilal for 55 million euros in the summer of 2023, for which he has contributed 18 goals and 30 assists in 115 appearances to date. In his first year he won the national treble. The team coached by Simone Inzaghi is currently back at the top of the Saudi Pro League. However, since his move to Saudi Arabia, Neves’ market value has continuously fallen from 40 million to 25 million euros.
