A coming of age at full speed inspired by a true story

Sports film with a classic structure, Gran Turismo it’s a surprisingly solid film in the way reworks a true story that already seems incredible in itself. Director Neill Blomkamp indeed manages to transform an operation born as pure marketing into an authentic story of growth, discipline and comparison with the risks of life. Insisting on the “physical” and dangerous side of racing, with the precise intention of Don’t overly romanticize the transition from virtual to track.

Far from the cynicism of a certain sports cinema recent, Gran Turismo one of its strong points is the true starting story. The story of Jan Mardenborough (pilot still active today) in fact it is not distorted but adapted with respect and without excessive embroidery.

Effective, sincere and engaging film, Gran Turismo it also reflects on merit and opportunity, showing how much talent needs adequate structures to emerge. Despite some narrative simplification, the film maintains a balance between spectacle and realism and it’s a story that he conquers more for his honesty than for the emphasis of the staging.

The cast of Gran Turismo: from star Orlando Bloom to Archie Madekwe

Even though he isn’t the protagonist main story of the film, Orlando Bloom gives one of the most mature performances of his career. Became famous thanks to iconic characters in major franchises such as Legolas in the trilogy of The Lord of the Rings And Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbeanthroughout his career the actor he worked in very different genres. From historical (and arthouse) films such as Kingdom of Heaven by Ridley Scott to dramas and TV series.
