How can a famous casino boss from the 80s disappear from the face of the earth without a trace? Journalist Kim Palmaccio has been wondering this for years. When she turned eighteen, her father told her the story about her great-uncle, the casino boss and multi-millionaire Ludwig.
In 1986, Ludwig disappears in broad daylight. Kim’s aunt then received a letter demanding 3.2 million German marks. Ludwig’s family never heard from the ‘kidnappers’ again, but no trace of Ludwig is ever found again.

And Kim never let go of the story. She has now written a book and this Saturday she will be in the DeLaMar Theater with the podcast makers of ‘Kidnapped’, to search for answers live together with the audience.
Since the publication of her book, Kim has received several tips. “I take some with a grain of salt,” she laughs. “But there are also a lot of tips from people who knew my great-uncle. So I have now heard many theories. Also that he was not even kidnapped, for example, but staged it himself. I don’t have all the answers yet, so I will continue to investigate.”
