Siegfried and Roy entertained fans for years with their spectacular magic shows in Las Vegas. Now the life and work of the legendary duo is being made into a film.
First pictures from the set
Filming for the series project is currently taking place in Las Vegas. The first pictures from the set have now been made public. The two main actors Andrew Garfield and Jude Law can be seen in matching costumes. The former “Spider-Man” actor Garfield takes on the role of the brunette Roy Horn. In the photo he is wearing a blue jacket, a black hat and a matching goatee. Next to him is the Siegfried actor Law with typically blonde hair, a black jacket and sunglasses. Both wave at the camera. According to TMZ, it is not known whether they were also filming that day or were just taking photos for press purposes.
In recent years things have become quieter around the two actors. Now they are returning to the streaming business as animal trainers and magicians. It is a series that will be shown on the provider Apple TV+ and is based on the podcast “Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy”. An exact date for publication has not yet been set.
US Germans on stage in Las Vegas
Roy Horn and Siegfried Fischbacher were tamers and magicians. The duo regularly performed magic shows in Las Vegas that featured the use of wild animals – mostly tigers and lions. The performances were repeatedly discussed controversially and the entertainers were accused of animal cruelty. On October 3, 2003, a tiger attacked Roy Horn. He suffered serious injuries and was subsequently partially paralyzed. Roy died in 2020 at the age of 75, his partner in 2021 at the age of 81.
