Johan Derksen is open to inviting Monique Hansler to Today Inside. Is his critic Antoinnette Scheulderman also welcome in the new series? “I don’t know why.”
The current series of the Hélène Hendriks talk show De Oranjewinter is as boring as the nits, so for the SBS 6 viewer it is good news that after the weekend it is time for the men of Today Inside. The men of the hit show have had a big break around the holidays, so they can go back to it with a lot of energy.
Johan in London
How were the holidays for Johan? “I went to London with my daughter and that was nice, because the planes weren’t flying, so we had to take the train. We always go to King’s Road, where the quality shops are. That completely drains Dad, doesn’t it?”, he says in Show news.
He continues: “The nice thing about London is that no one knows you there. Look, if you are on TV every evening, everyone knows you. The worst thing is of course if people ask if they can take a photo in front of a full terrace, because then an entire terrace is watching with a face like: that Derksen thinks he is Jesus, he has his picture taken with everyone.”
Wounded egos
In the meantime, there has been no contact with Wilfred Genee and René van der Gijp, says Johan. Did he miss them? “No, but she doesn’t tell me either. We won’t see each other for a few weeks. It’s not like we’ll catch up before the broadcast. We’ll just sit down and then we’ll go again.”
During their holiday there was a riot because Antoinnette Scheulderman lashed out so hard at Johan. “She was on her toes, wasn’t she? Damaged egos. Then those ladies can go crazy.”
Hated woman
Who can we expect at the bar in the upcoming series of VI? Reality star Monique Hansler is certainly welcome. “There is a journalistic reason for this, of course, because she is the most hated woman in the Netherlands. And it is gradually becoming the biggest viewership cannon.”
And Antoinette Scheulderman? “I wouldn’t know why she should be invited, because she doesn’t have that much to say.”
