As of: January 16, 2026 10:09 a.m
In the case of former HSV sports director Stefan Kuntz, the complaint he submitted to the Hamburg public prosecutor’s office has been withdrawn. But the authorities are continuing to investigate.
As the public prosecutor confirmed, Kuntz has withdrawn his complaint against unknown people for stalking. However, the authorities are still investigating independently because it is a so-called “official offense”.
On Thursday, a spokeswoman confirmed in response to an NDR request that Kuntz had filed a complaint against unknown people – namely for stalking, i.e. harassment or stalking. The 63-year-old, who “firmly” rejects the allegations made against him, went on the offensive – only to retreat again. There is still no complaint against Kuntz.
Allegations against Kuntz of sexual harassment renewed
At the beginning of the week, the HSV supervisory board justified the separation from Kuntz with “allegations of serious misconduct”.
In the news magazine “Der Spiegel”, a person allegedly affected has now renewed the allegations against Kuntz of sexual harassment. The HSV employee, who is quoted anonymously, speaks of inappropriate comments and “inappropriate physical contact” by Kuntz. The article talks about several women who are said to have experienced similar things. It is still unclear whether this will lead to charges against Kuntz.
