Davina Michelle became entangled in her own words in front of the camera of De Telegraaf. “You really are such a witch, boy! Hahaha. I don’t know what you’re talking about!” she shouts.

The rumor was very persistent that Davina Michelle would represent our country in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Ultimately, the AvroTros decided to withdraw because they disagreed with Israel’s participation in the song festival. And with that, Davina’s alleged Eurovision act is also cancelled.

‘Not that anyway’

Davina never confirmed that she was in the running for it. She currently performs at De Vrienden van Amstel Live. A reporter from The Telegraph asks her: “Are you also going to sing the song that would take you to the Eurovision Song Contest?”

The singer uncomfortably: “Well, not that anyway, it’s all late, but if I had indeed submitted something, I don’t know if that would have been possible. We’ve been working on this for months. That’s all much earlier.”

‘Keep it for me’

Max van den Broek, the Telegraaf reporter in question, keeps trying. “Because you submitted a song, right?”

Davina: “I still say: I keep it to myself. What I have kept to myself is… Yes, that.” Then laughing: “I really can’t do this! I don’t know! I’ll keep it in the middle!”

Max: “Next year?”

Davina: “Who knows. Yes, it is such a chaos this world. We don’t know.”

Peace on earth

Peace on earth is the most important thing, according to Davina. “In any case, I hope that things will calm down a bit there. That is the most important thing. Eurovision will then come in second place.”

Max: “Are you going to keep this song or are you going to release it?”

Davina laughing: “You really are such a witch, boy! Hahaha. I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
