In recent days, half of the provincial road had already been temporarily closed. There were large holes in the road surface ice formation and road salt. The affected road section was then completely scraped off and a new layer of asphalt must now be applied.
For this purpose, the N242 in the direction of Heerhugowaard to the A9 highway will be closed this evening. This concerns the part between the N243 exit and the Leeghwaterbrug.
Traffic is diverted via the Nollenweg (N508), Huiswaarderweg (N245) and Martin Luther Kingweg/Heilooër Tolweg (N9) to Kooimeerplein.
