Eleven people taken to hospital after CO poisoning in Neder-Over-Heembeek: “Two children also had to be cared for”

In the Brussels district of Neder-Over-Heembeek, eleven people suffered from CO intoxication on Wednesday evening. Six of them, including a child, were taken to the military hospital with serious poisoning. The other five victims received care in other hospitals. The cause of the intoxication was a defect in one of the heating systems in the building, as a result of which the combustion gases were not discharged correctly.
