FC Barcelona is apparently close to signing a new full-back. As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced on X, João Cancelo is on the way. The Portuguese just has to sign the contract.

Signs of a transfer had already increased in the previous week. Romano recently reported that FC Barcelona had agreed on a six-month loan deal with Cancelo’s club Al-Hilal. The Catalans should therefore pay four million euros. For the Portuguese full-back it would be a return to his old place of work: he has already spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Barça. Before that, he was under contract with FC Bayern for six months as a professional loan player.

Timo Werner could soon play in Major League Soccer (MLS). According to The Athletic, the San José Earthquakes are interested in signing the 29-year-old from RB Leipzig. The former goalscorer is almost completely left out at RB Leipzig. Now his departure is imminent. Read more about this here.

Danny Röhl has been the coach of Glasgow Rangers since the end of October and has led the traditional Scottish club back on track. In winter, the German is now apparently looking towards the Bundesliga. As the pay TV broadcaster Sky reports, the Scottish club has contacted VfL Wolfsburg. It’s about a transfer from Andreas Skov Olsen.

The Dane moved from Club Bruges to Lower Saxony a year ago for almost 15 million euros, but has since fallen short of expectations. Wolfsburg’s sporting director Pirmin Schwegler wants to thin out the squad; Skov Olsen wasn’t even in the squad on Sunday in the 8-1 defeat against FC Bayern.
