An Italian hadn’t won in Germany since 2000: the pair were in the lead from the first evening and won in the last sprint

A comeback in the final sprint proved to be decisive, and so Olympian Simone Consonni and Michele Scartezzini won the 59th edition of the Six Days of Bremen on the track. An Italian has not won in Germany since 2000, when Silvio Martinello finished in first place paired with the German Kappes (while in 1996 Martinello also won with Villa). In this edition’s ranking, Consonni-Scartezzini preceded Augenstein-Kluge and Malmberg-Politt.
