Mysterious billboards with the words “We Belong Together” placed above bustling crowds have recently appeared in New York, Manchester, Palermo, São Paulo and elsewhere. What does that mean?

More than three years after superstar Harry Styles’ last new songs, these billboards herald the imminent comeback of the (still) 31-year-old from the English county of Worcestershire. There is also an eight-minute video entitled “Forever, Forever”, which Styles published on his official YouTube channel shortly before the New Year. The film documents the finale of his “Love On” tour on July 22, 2023 in Reggio Emilia, northern Italy. It ends with a previously unreleased piano ballad. While the camera captures the audience’s emotional reaction, the words “We Belong Together” appear – the exact sentence that now also adorns the secret posters in question.

A website webelongtogether.co was also set up, which features a similar crowd motif and includes a copyright notice from Sony Music, Harry Styles’ label. The artist’s official website, in turn, announces an update that is linked to a newsletter subscription. An official confirmation from the record company about an album release – it would be his fourth – is still pending.

Success of “Harry’s House”

Styles’ last album “Harry’s House” from 2022 was a great commercial and artistic success. The single “As It Was” topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 15 weeks and is now one of the most streamed songs in the digital platform’s history. At the 2023 Grammy Awards, the album was named “Album of the Year” and was named one of the best releases of the year by numerous international music media.

Since the end of the world tour, Styles has largely withdrawn from the public. He was repeatedly spotted in Berlin, as a private citizen in trendy galleries and bars. It is not known whether he also recorded new music in the German capital.

First signs of life since 2024

“Forever, Forever” now marks the first official appearance since the end of 2024. In industry media, the clip is interpreted as a deliberate start to the new album phase. This assumption is supported by statements from colleagues such as Ed Sheeran, who claims to have already received insights into new material, as well as by repeated studio visits with long-time companions and producers.

The rumor mill threads on the gossip platform Reddit claim to have learned from “confidential insider sources” that an EP is expected in January and a full album by March. The video for “Forever, Forever” has hardcore fans looking for all kinds of clues. The visual aesthetic, with grainy, nostalgic footage, reflects reports that Harry took all sorts of shots of his crowd with a digital camera. Fans report several times about these snap and film campaigns.

Will the album even be called “Harry’s Gallery”? Some fans already want to “start saving” in order to be ready for a possible tour in mid-2026. There are whispers surrounding a big summer home game at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Pre-order ROLLING STONE now: With the world-exclusive 7-inch single by Prince

We are opening the year 2026 with a unique and extraordinary collaboration: on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his death, ROLLING STONE and MUSIKEXPRESS are releasing two world-exclusive vinyl singles by Prince.

A few months before his death, the genius of the century had recorded two albums that once again show him in top form and will be re-released in the new year: “HITnRUN Phase I” and “Phase II”. These were to remain his last works. For “Phase I” he worked with singers such as Rita Ora and Lianne La Havas. “Phase II” shows him as a political observer of his time.

Our February issue releases the collector’s item “Fallinlove2nite” / “Hardrock Lover”, two outstanding tracks from “HITnRUN Phase I” – “Fallinlove2nite” in particular is considered a fan favorite. The 7-inch single comes in a sturdy, carefully designed cardboard cover and on heavyweight vinyl. It is only available with the German edition of ROLLING STONE and not in record stores.

MUSIKEXPRESS 03/26 also releases a second world-exclusive Prince single: “Baltimore” / “Stare”, two songs from HITnRUN Phase II. Prince wrote the ballad-like “Baltimore” under the impression of racist police violence in the USA. Both editions are also available together in a bundle at the special price of EUR 19.90 at: www.rollingstone.de/prince-2026-bundle
