Faith healer Tom de Wal was arrested by the police on Friday evening after he continued with a faith healing service while it was banned by the municipality of Tilburg. Omroep Brabant reporter Rogier van Son was talking to him outside when the police arrested him.
The images show how the police interrupt the conversation with Omroep Brabant and officers take Tom de Wal with them. “They are interviewing me,” he shouts indignantly.
Tom de Wal performed faith healings in the middle of the street at the Praise church in Tilburg. Just before he did this in church, but the mayor had banned his planned event. According to a police spokesperson, that was the reason he was arrested.
