Turbulent relationship
The investigation showed that the relationship of Tacha N. and Danny Delaere was turbulent. The victim is said to have acted aggressively on several occasions. Both people involved were also regularly under the influence of alcohol. Remarkably, the accused has previously appeared in the Bruges assize hall. In December 2015, she testified about the character of an ex-partner, who was then sentenced to 24 years in prison for the manslaughter of his girlfriend.
“Didn’t Want That”
During her assize process, N. is assisted by master Thomas Vandemeulebroucke and master Nadia Lorenzetti. Perhaps the defense will argue that the accused did not want to take her husband’s life. Master Filip De Reuse, master Loes Roels and master Wouter Buyck defend the interests of Delaere’s relatives.
