If Neefjes completes the 38 kilometer race from Egmond aan Zee to the pier in Velsen-Noord and back as fastest tomorrow, she will be the first woman to win the beach race three times.

Among the men, defending champion Timothy Dupont could provide a first. The Belgian, now 38, was the best three times and is therefore a shared record winner.
