A new snow front is moving across the Netherlands today, but it is still unclear how great the impact will be on our province. Texel in particular still seems to have to deal with real snowflakes, where weather code orange has been in effect since midnight. Follow all winter updates from the region in this live blog.
Although the KNMI has issued code orange for Texel, the ferries between the Wadden Island and Den Helder will continue to sail today. A TESO spokesperson said this.
If the weather does change, causing ferries to be taken out of service or delays to occur, the ferry service will communicate this via the website.
NS is running again today with a winter timetable due to the winter weather. This means that fewer trains will run on a number of routes and travelers will have to transfer more often and will spend longer on the road. Trains can also be busier than normal.
