The former Champions League winner AC Milan only barely prevented the end of their successful series in Serie A at the home premiere of national soccer player Niclas Füllkrug. The Lombards avoided their first defeat in the championship in more than four months in the 1-1 (0-1) draw against CFC exactly in stoppage time. Füllkrug was only used as a “joker” in his second appearance for the Rossoneri 25 minutes before the end and has to wait for his starting eleven debut for the Italians.
The home team’s celebrated hero was Rafael Leao with his goal in the second minute after the end of regular time. The guests took the lead through Lorenzo Colombo (28th).
Despite their 17th league game in a row without defeat, Milan lost ground to their table-leading local rivals Inter. Füllkrug’s team is now three points behind the leaders.
