Yankee football’s biggest game, the Super Bowl, is the most watched annual sporting event.

Last year, the final game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs was watched by an estimated 127.7 million viewers.

This year’s final will be played outside of San Francisco at Levi’s Stadium, home of the local 49ers, on February 8th.

This time there may also be a Finnish color, because Cadillac has decided to buy 30 seconds of advertising time in the most expensive part of the broadcast – halftime of the match.

The purpose is to present the 2026 car to Yankee spectators and at the same time signal that in the new F1 season there will also be an iconic American brand on the starting grid.

– The Super Bowl is one of the few moments in American culture where sports, entertainment and storytelling all come together. It gives us the opportunity to present the Cadillac F1 team on a platform that reflects us, CEO Dan Towriss beamed in his announcement.

– We are proud of our American heritage, and we want to perform boldly, innovatively and definitely with personality. This is just the beginning.

Finns are of course interested in Cadillac because the next season’s drivers can also appear in the ad Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.

Tests in Catalonia

It’s no cheap fun, because advertising time during the Super Bowl halftime costs about eight million dollars (about 6.85 million euros).

Some pictures of the Cadillac must have been leaked before the Super Bowl, as all the F1 teams participate in five days of winter testing at the Catalunya circuit in the last week of January.

However, Liberty Media, which administers the series, fears that the new rules will mainly be seen as problems with the reliability of the cars, and has therefore banned both fans and the media from entering the stands.

The first tests, which are also open to the public, will take place in Bahrain on the 11th-13th. February.
