While accumulating more and more power within the Government, the Secretary General is facing an increasingly complex judicial panorama due to her involvement in two important cases: the bribery scandal in the National Disability Agency (Andis) and the case of cryptocurrency $Poundpromoted by the president and which led to an alleged million-dollar scam.
In the Andis case, initiated after the leak of audios attributed to the former director Diego Spagnuolo – a friend and former personal lawyer of Milei – an alleged corruption network with surcharges in purchases of medicines for people with disabilities is being investigated.
According to the prosecutor Franco Picardiin a 276-page opinion known after the summary secrecy was lifted in November, operated “an enormous corruption plot” from December 2023 to October 2025, with improper payments to officials. The audios explicitly mention a “3%” return that would go to “KM”, along with references to “Lule” Menem. Spagnuolo was summoned for investigation, and the Government describes him as a “mythomaniac” and disassociates Karina, who is not formally charged,
In the $Libra case, Justice advances the promotion that Milei made on February 14 of that memecoin that collapsed hours later, causing losses to thousands of people. Reported for illicit association, fraud and market manipulation, the case – led by Judge Martínez de Giorgi and prosecutor Taiano – unified files that include accusations of bribery against Karina for allegedly charging for presidential meetings.
A congressional commission summoned Karina (who did not attend), and even a New York court revealed what funds could belong to the Milei. Both causes marked 2025.
