Disappointing away game for the Lions Frankfurt in the DEL: The Hessians lost 3:6 in Ingolstadt on Tuesday.
In the first third, the Lions fell behind because they were outnumbered, but they equalized through Cameron Brace. The Frankfurt team also equalized Ingolstadt’s renewed lead – with a goal from Eric Uba at the final siren of the first third.
Lions won’t come close again
The Lions did well in the second half, but the home team scored the goals first – 2:3 and 2:4 from Hesse’s perspective. Daniel Pfaffengut shortened again shortly before the end of the third. In the last 20 minutes, Ingolstadt scored twice, which sealed Frankfurt’s defeat.
It was the second defeat in a row for the Löwen Frankfurt. The team is still standing in the penultimate place in the tablebut with a clear lead over bottom team Dresden.
