Denise van der Laan survived the Hansler horror: she was healthy and well at Beau van Erven Dorens’ desk last night. Did she really say ‘t*ringwijf’ to Monique? “It’s nonsense.”
A remarkable scene in the Hansler soap on SBS 6: the troubled daughter-in-law Denise van der Laan has had an argument with ‘mother-in-law’ Monique Hansler outside the view of the camera. She kicked her out of the house and that’s why we saw her in yesterday’s episode suddenly staying in a caravan. And Mike? He didn’t even call.
‘T*ringbitch’
Monique states that she has found out that Denise has been gossiping about her and calling her a ‘t*ring bitch’. Remarkably, she decided to end the relationship between Denise and Mike, and not Mike himself. He didn’t even call her again. Fortunately, Denise has recovered, was seen last night in RTL Tonight.
Host Beau van Erven Dorens openly expresses his surprise. “You should just choose your girlfriend and not your mother! Aren’t you also happy that you are away from that family? Those people?”
‘Doesn’t occur to me’
It’s all good, says Denise. She denies it Show news that she said t*ringwijf at all. “No! No, that word doesn’t even come to mind. I’m not like that at all to name that word or whatever. That word doesn’t suit me.”
What about the gossiping? “I am not a hateful person, but when you are tired and sad, you just express yourself. (…) There was no conscious thought of: oh, I just send a text to vent or to be negative. Then again: if you are negative, you are not supposed to be removed from your home for that reason.”
Where’s Mike?
Where is Mike in this story? Has he visited Denise yet to hear her side of the story? “No, I didn’t speak to him anymore. I sent him a message, because it was really bothering me, saying: I have been removed from my home and I don’t hear anything from you. So I sent him a message myself. He says: ‘Yes, you talked negatively.'”
She continues: “Then I think: oh my gosh, if something like that is made difficult about something so small, then you can no longer say anything and then you can no longer give your opinion as you do now. Then I would also talk negatively if I give my opinion now. Yes, then the whole of the Netherlands can be seen as negative.”
‘This isn’t possible!’
Show expert Eline de Ruig thinks Monique is a bitch. “You can be angry about it, but have a conversation about it. Don’t immediately throw someone out on the street. She just lives in that house. I don’t think that’s okay either. You also have to wonder whether those apps were really what she is now saying on TV. I think we should take that with a grain of salt.”
Celebrity photographer William Rutten: “We could all see how that woman behaved towards her, right? I think I would have given her much more terrible names.”
Umbilical cord
Monique is not completely well, Eline thinks. “Here we see that it is not Mike who broke up with her, but mother Monique simply threw her out on the street with her belongings and all. A girl who has absolutely no shelter or home in Altea is thrown out onto the street in one fell swoop. Whatever has happened, you are going to discuss that with each other first, right?”
Celebrity expert Bart Ettekoven: “It’s strange that Mike didn’t visit her shortly after the confrontation between his mother and Denise.”
William: “His mommy wouldn’t let that!”
