Since January 2nd, his family, friends and colleagues have no longer had any trace of him. Menegon has been fighting for years to report abuses in the use of speed cameras and other instruments that detect the speed of vehicles in order to sanction drivers who violate the limits established by the Highway Code.

Engineer Menegon is a widower and lives alone. The last contacts with him were on January 2nd. Some colleagues, not seeing him in the office or finding him at home, alerted the police. The officers, assisted by the firefighters, found all his personal items in his study, including his cell phone, set of keys and jacket. The computer was on. His car and van were regularly parked outside his home and locked. Menegon’s work against speed cameras contributed to the investigation which at the beginning of 2025 led the Cosenza Prosecutor’s Office to seize several non-approved devices throughout the national territory.
