As the Africa Cup of Nations heads towards the knockout stages in the new year, a tragic incident has pushed the sport into the background for the time being. Stéphane Aziz Ki mourns his son. The child of the Burkina Faso international is dead. This was confirmed by his club, Wydad AC from Casablanca.
The statement released by the club on Thursday said: “It is with deep sadness and sadness that Wydad Athletic Club extends its sincerest condolences and condolences to our player Aziz Ki on the death of his son.” And further: “We ask Almighty God to receive the deceased into his grace, to grant him a place in his infinite paradise and to grant patience and comfort to his family and loved ones.” The report does not reveal exactly when the player lost his child.

The next game for Burkina Faso is scheduled for next Tuesday. Then it’s against Ivory Coast. Aziz Ki was born there. It is not yet known whether the offensive man will be on the pitch after the tragic loss of his son in the game against his country of birth.
