On the weekend of July 18 and 19 you can go to Emmen for the C’est la Vie festival. Last year the festival lasted two days for the first time. During those days, the center turns into a colorful mix of music, street theater, market, fair and family joy.
At the end of July, the largest trucks will return to the TT Circuit in Assen. This year’s Truckstar Festival will be held on the weekend of July 25 and 26, with more than 2,300 trucks. There are show trucks, new models on the fairgrounds and rare vehicles on the paddock. The program features truck races, a decibel competition, motorcycle stunts, parades and monster trucks.
The Asser TT Circuit is also the setting for the Racing Day from July 31 to August 2. Here you will find car races, motorcycle demonstrations, competitions with super karts and of course stunts. The circuit comes alive every day at 8 a.m.
The Milk and Honey market in Zuidlaren can always be found in the agenda on the first Saturday of August. And this year that is the first day of the month. The market of the Zuidlaren beekeepers association is held on the Brink in the village. You will find large filled honey pots from local beekeepers.
Old crafts and harvests, that is Harvest Day in Orvelte. This year it will be held on Sunday, August 2. You will also find a market here with antiques, decorations and special finds.
Throughout August you can look at ‘artistic useless buildings’ on a route near Norg. This year the starting signal for Folly Art will be given on Sunday, August 2. You can take a look until August 30, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In April it will be announced which works will be on display along the almost eight kilometer walking route.
