The victims are a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old boy, both of whom stayed in the AZC on the Sloterweg.
‘My friend, my friend, my friend’
Shortly after the shooting, Frans was standing on the bridge with the victim when another boy walked up. “He was completely upset. ‘My friend, my friend, my friend’ he shouted. I had to take him away because he almost fell on top of that boy. I said that the emergency services were on their way.”
“Colleagues immediately go to the scene,” says Wander Wagenaar of the Amsterdam police. “They found two seriously injured boys there. They immediately started resuscitation, but unfortunately that was of no avail because the boys died shortly afterwards.”
