The Slovenian ski jumper Nika Prevc also won the third edition of the two-night tour. One day after her clear victory in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the 20-year-old saved her success in the overall ranking with fourth place in Oberstdorf on New Year’s Day.

Prevc jumped 105 and 128.5 meters. The day’s victory went to Abigail Strate from Canada. Prevc had already won the event, which was introduced in December 2023, for the past two years.

Selina Freitag jumped 128 and 118 meters and took third place as the best German at Oberstdorfer Schattenberg. In the overall ranking of the Two-Nights Tour, this was enough for second place, after Friday also jumped onto the podium in second place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Schmid jumps for the last time in Oberstdorf

Agnes Reisch (9th), local hero Katharina Schmid (11th) and Juliane Seyfarth (16th) also made it to the final of the best 20 jumpers in front of 3,000 spectators. For Schmid it was the last home game in Oberstdorf before she ends her glorious career at the end of the Olympic winter. She received a small bouquet of flowers in the run. “I’m just happy,” said Schmid through tears on ZDF.

The two-night tour with competitions on the two German ski jumps of the Four Hills Tournament was held for the third time. Next year the format will be replaced by a Four Hills Tournament for women. The traditional event around the turn of the year is taking place exclusively for men for the 74th time this winter.
