Singer D4vd is expected to be charged with the murder of Celeste Rivas. Grand jury to vote on charges. New developments in the case of the 15-year-old.

On September 8, 2025, a body was found in the front trunk of a Tesla. It was 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. It quickly became clear that it was murder. The investigators quickly identified a suspect: the singer D4vd. Now there are new developments in the case in court.

Singer is expected to face murder charges

According to the latest developments in the Celeste Rivas murder case, D4vd will probably have to answer for the murder of the deceased. Sources tell TMZ that one of the main reasons for this is that the grand jury has been asked to indict. This is a so-called “investigative grand jury,” a jury that assists authorities in ongoing investigations but does not normally bring charges. In the case of the murder of the 15-year-old, however, things now look different. Such a jury can be helpful in subpoenaing uncooperative witnesses and forcing them to testify.

Urgent suspicions are confirmed

Now, according to said sources, it seems clear that the grand jury, after hearing witnesses in the case, will indeed vote on an indictment. There is strong suspicion and authorities, including public prosecutor Beth Silbermann, are convinced that the 20-year-old was involved in the murder.

Another point that hardened the suspicion was the behavior of D4vd’s manager David Morgenroth. He testified in court for several days, and a “TMZ” reporter heard him telling his lawyer in the court hallway that the prosecutor in charge had been very pushy and insisted on why the manager had not informed the police. His answer was that out of his responsibility it was his job to keep the singer’s tour going.

Normally, grand juries decide in favor of the prosecution, which is why an indictment can be expected. However, there are also rumors that further witnesses will not be heard until February. The process could therefore take a longer period of time.

Incriminating finds in the RNB singer’s house

Prosecutors also presented items found at the singer’s Hollywood Hills home. Private investigator Steve Fischer told News Nation the items involved were a chainsaw and an incinerator. Given the circumstances surrounding the case, this is unlikely to exonerate the suspect.

“We found a chainsaw – there’s actually no reason why a chainsaw should be in the house,” said the investigator. It continued: “The chain itself still had the protective shield on it. There it is, in an incinerator. You can’t help but wonder what plan the person was pursuing with it.”

Connection between D4vd and Celeste Rivas

According to rumors, the singer and the deceased could have been a couple. However, this has not been clearly confirmed. The 15-year-old had previously disappeared for a year and was then found dead in a Tesla registered to the singer.
