A woman from Hoogeveen was injured in an accident just across the border near Coevorden. Near the German village of Laar, the victim collided with another car at an intersection.
The woman from Hoogeveen became trapped and was freed from the car by the fire brigade. The driver of the other car was removed from the car by local residents.
Both drivers were taken to hospital in Nordhorn.
