The gourmet sets are back in the cupboard, so we can go straight to the oliebollen. How many can you actually eat without getting fat? Linda de Mol’s personal trainer knows.

After two wonderful Christmases, we are now at the tail end of 2025. And that of course means lots of oliebollen with powdered sugar. How can you eat those things without getting fat? Carlos Lens, Linda de Mol’s personal trainer, knows. He reveals in the Weekend that it is better to eat one oliebollen than to swallow ten oliebollen.

One oliebol

According to Carlos, you really don’t have to be very strict. “Eating a little less healthy one day is really not a disaster. Just continue the next day. Remember: it’s all about balance. Over a whole week, one oliebol doesn’t make a difference, ten does,” he says.

According to him, one oliebol per week is responsible. “And keep moving a bit. Especially in winter, when it is colder and you spend more time indoors, every step helps.”

Trained

Linda doesn’t look like she’s sticking to just one donut. What is it like coaching her? “She is standard in the lifestyle. With the Linda line campaign it was really a race, the people also participated at the time. So she really wanted to accelerate. But now it is normal and that means: live well, exercise, rest – and that’s it.”

The fallen TV queen was his first celebrity client. How was that? “It was initially exciting to train a celebrity for the first time, but Linda turned out to be the one girl next door to be.”

What does she think is his best tip? “Show up.”
