What a fuss Rachel Hazes made about it last year: she threatened, on Christmas Eve of all things, to take her son André Hazes Jr. to court. Does she still want to take his name away?
Rachel Hazes continues to amaze people. The professional widow is stuck in the revolving door of the court and last year she also wanted to kill her own son André Hazes Jr. on Christmas Eve. She was suddenly annoyed that he acts as André Hazes, without ‘jr.’ behind it. And that would cost her money. Something about merchandise.
Rachel remains silent
Rachel’s demand to perform with ‘junior’ after his name again did not come out of the blue. André was already somewhat prepared for it. A few months earlier he said: “If my mother wanted to do harm, I would have to change my name, i.e. my stage name. Even though it is my name. That’s how strict it is.”
And wanting evil is pretty much Rachel’s middle name. In any case: it is now another Christmas Eve and Kroketta, as Yvonne Coldeweijer always called her, has not been heard from again. What about the junior issue? Did she send another letter? “No, fortunately not. I am very happy about that,” André responds Show news.
Exploded
André feels good that he has shared Rachel’s threat with the rest of the Netherlands. “Do you know what I was happy about? Normally I’m always the type to think: I won’t say anything, I’ll let it go. But the moment that was done to me, I immediately started sharing it with the world.”
The interviewer on duty, Evert Santegoeds (who is still cleaning the slime blobs from his jacket), then: “It also blew up in her face. In the face of the woman you no longer call mother.”
Don’t swallow anymore
André agrees. “Yes, but I think: if you do it to me… I don’t have to put up with it anymore, you know? That did me so good and made me feel so strong for the rest of the year, because I felt very supported.”
He concludes: “That really touched me, especially because I came from a shitty time. I felt that way myself, but to also feel it the other way around from the Netherlands was very nice.”
