Wouter (21) wanted to start a pancake house, then everything changes: ‘A dream comes true’

For pastry chef Wouter Kamphorst (21) from Heerde, 2025 was a year full of highlights. He won prize after prize at professional competitions for vocational students and was allowed to have lunch with the royal couple. But the real icing on the cake is buying back the pastry shop that his grandfather and grandmother once started. “It all happened a bit quickly, yes.”
