Catering establishments Giornale and Sopranos in Eindhoven will remain closed for at least a year due to the damage caused by a fire last week. The restaurants announced this on Monday evening.
In recent days, the insurance company has had time to assess the damage to the buildings. “It has become clear that the fire started completely through no fault of our own, sheer bad luck struck us,” the message said.
Closed for at least a year
The bad news is that there is so much damage within the buildings that they both need to be completely gutted. “It is expected that the construction will take at least a year and we will therefore have to keep the doors of both Sopranos and Giornale closed for a year.”
Tokyo by Night is also temporarily closed
The adjacent catering business Tokyo by Night was also affected by the fire. Giornale’s Facebook message states that the damage to the neighbors is less serious. They hope that their neighbors can open again soon.
It is not known how long Tokyo by Night will have to remain closed due to the fire.
