Planning for the new season is already in full swing at FC Bayern. The club has now bagged its first transfer.

Kassandra Potsi will move from SGS Essen to FC Bayern Munich next summer. The 17-year-old German U19 international has signed a working paper with the double winner until 2029. Both clubs officially announced the transfer on Saturday.

Francisco De Sá Fardilha, sporting director of the FC Bayern footballers, praised Potsi as “another outstanding example of SGS Essen’s excellent youth work.” Their speed, technical strength and determination when playing against the ball would have impressed FC Bayern. Potsi had proven her “ability even against top teams,” it went on to say.

The young striker made her competitive debut for the Essen team in January 2024. At the end of November she appeared for the German U19 team for the first time.
