Finland’s under-20 national team played the first training match of the World Cup tournament. The opposite was Germany. Finland won the match played in Duluth against Minnesota 7–3. Since it was a practice game, the teams played an overtime. In that, Finland scored one more goal and thus the final score was 8–3.
