Norwegian Fredrik Möller’s serious fall during the downhill skiing World Cup in Val Gardena apparently went relatively smoothly.

As the Norwegian association announced on Thursday evening, the 25-year-old suffered bruises and lost two teeth, “but given the circumstances he is doing well.”

Möller is being cared for “closely” by the hospital and the Norwegian Ski Association’s medical team in order to rule out further injuries after the serious fall.

Möller fell backwards while jumping on the camel hump and fell violently. He got up, but was flown to the hospital in Bolzano to be on the safe side.

The victory on the Saslong went to the Swiss Marco Odermatt, for the dominant rider of recent years it was already the 50th World Cup success.
