Patty Brard is put through the wringer in the podcast by Mark Koster and her good friend Tina Nijkamp. Not by her, but by him. “She looks like a Christmas tree!”
It looks like Patty Brard is switching from SBS Shownieuws to an RTL program, perhaps even to the ratings flop RTL Tonight. She had dinner last week with the retiring TV boss Peter van der Vorst and shortly afterwards, on Sunday evening, appeared at Leonie ter Braak’s debut in RTL Tonight.
Christmas tree
Leonie’s debut was a bit disappointing. The conversation with Patty wasn’t much either. She was there to talk about her role in Scrooge Live and it turned into one big slime interview.
Leonie will not save the day either, is the conclusion of media columnist Mark Koster. He says in the podcast The Media Week: “That carousel over there doesn’t work at all. Now put one on it. Leonie was sitting there with Patty Brard, who looked like she was a Christmas tree.”
I love Patty
Co-host Tina Nijkamp is shocked by Mark’s sneer. It is common knowledge that Patty is quite touchy, so the TV authority immediately distances itself from this. “I love Pattyhuh?”
Mark: “Yes, I know that. I like Patty too, but Patty only talked about herself there, because she can only really talk about herself.”
“You bash her!”
Tina really doesn’t want to join in on Patty bashing. “Well, I don’t think so. I’m not going to bash Patty Brard, because she is in my heart. Yes, you can bash her, but I can’t, because I love her very much.”
Mark: “Yes, you can love everyone, but Patty Brard also cheated a bit with Frits Wester about Lale Gül’s security.”
Bad lineup
It is true that the subject for which Patty sat at the table is too meaningless, Tina thinks. But that is not criticism of Patty, but criticism of program content, she emphasizes. “It was about Lale Gül’s security again, it was about Scrooge again, because that’s why Patty was there.”
She continues: “I love Patty, but what RTL Tonight does very often is that they play Time for MAX and that is a program on Omroep MAX at five o’clock in the afternoon where people only talk about things they sell. A play, a film, a TV broadcast. That was this!”
Boring as hell
Mark can agree with that. “Bloody boring.”
Tina: “Actually, that broadcast was just a repetition. It was just RTL Boulevard light meets HLF8 and so it was nothing. It’s very bad. It sucks!”
Tina hopes that Patty does not switch to RTL Tonight, otherwise she will have to go to great lengths every morning when publishing the viewing figures to avoid stepping on Patty’s shortened toes. Exciting!
