The Holland International Blues Festival has announced the first names for 2026. Van Morrison, Brad Paisley, Keb’ Mo’ and Robert Jon & The Wreck will come to Grolloo in June.
That village is the birthplace of one of the Netherlands’ greatest blues icons: Cuby & The Blizzards. Ten years after the first edition of the festival, the 2026 edition will take place on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June.
“We are very happy with this line-up,” says Junior van der Stel, spokesperson for the festival. “We hope that these big names are the prelude to an even bigger festival in the future.”
More names and the timetable will be announced at a later date.
It’s the second time From the Man comes to Grolloo. He was also at the festival in 2019. Just before that performance he made a quick visit to the C+B Museum in the village. Van Morrison knew the Drenthe blues band well. In 1967 he made a short tour through the Netherlands, accompanied by The Blizzards. Without Harry ‘Cuby’ Muskee.
