Leonie ter Braak is undoubtedly in sackcloth on the couch, because her RTL Tonight debut did not really land well. To make matters worse, she is also criticized in VI. “She can’t do anything!”

Leonie ter Braak’s debut as presenter of RTL Tonight makes one thing clear: she will not save the program from collapse either. Her Sunday broadcast was boring, very boring. The interview with Patty Brard in particular was impossible. It was all so slimy that she looked more like a presenter from Shownieuws.

‘She can’t do anything!’

Leonie must have a knot in her stomach, because she has now been punished with a very negative review in the influential Today Inside. “We had Leonie here. Leonie is a very nice woman…” begins Johan Derksen.

Colleague René van der Gijp then laughed: “But she can’t do anything at all! Hahahahaha! You always start by saying: ‘She is a very nice woman!’”

Flut programs

Johan is indeed going there. “Yes, but I like her and she didn’t add anything here at the table. Then she started making fluff programs at RTL.”

René: “Those were all crap programs.”

Johan: “Yes, I found that really disgusting. But now she can do that talk show and she doesn’t master that either, because she can’t do interviews, so apart from the fact that she is a very nice woman, she can’t really do much.”

Empathetic

René knows one program that Leonie did well. “Well, she then made the program at the Erasmus hospital and she did it quite nicely.”

Johan: “She did that nicely.”

René: “Although, that wasn’t exciting either, but she is empathetic. She was really interested in those people. I thought that was very sweet, but interviewing is just a profession, man.”

Experienced power

Table guest Valentijn Diessen has another program. “But she also did a nice job with HLF8, didn’t she?”

Wilfred Genee then: “Yes, I think so too. She did an excellent job.”

Johan finally: “Yes, but that’s a bit lighter, isn’t it, but for these types of programs, for those late-night talk shows, you definitely need an experienced presenter.”
